PRESS RELEASE
Tokyo Motor Festival 2014
—Outline Announced—
- JNR-2014-37
- September 18, 2014
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (hereafter “JAMA”; Chairman: Fumihiko Ike) will hold Tokyo Motor Festival 2014 with the participation of 13 JAMA member companies starting Saturday, October 11 through Monday (national holiday), October 13. This event at the Tokyo Water Front City Aomi NO District and Museum of Maritime Science parking lot will offer more visitors the opportunity to ride, touch, see, and sense the appeal of cars and motorcycles this year, during which the Tokyo Motor Show will not be held. This year, two foreign car makers will also exhibit.
A distinctive feature of the event this year is the array of inspiring and thrilling hands-on content for a wide range of visitors, including Cirque de Mobi, where you can experience the techniques and dynamic driving of professionals; the opportunity to test-ride heavy vehicles that you normally wouldn’t drive such as buses and trucks; a corner to experience the latest safety assistance technologies; and a parent-child motorcycle corner for families to test-ride motorcycles.
With this event, we will expand the range of car and motorcycle fans, aiming to promote the automobile industry and revitalize Japan’s economy by extension, and also boosting excitement for the 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015 to be held next year.
