The Test-Drive/Test-Ride programs previously held in the Outdoor Exhibition Area will be held at the following venues. Please see below for information about location, available events, and registration.

How to Register

Pre-register using the official Tokyo Motor Show app or through kiosks set up at the venues on the day you plan to test-drive/ride. Reservations will be available for events up to 2 hours in advance, and registration will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: Please check-in at one of the following locations to complete registration through the official Tokyo Motor Show app: Tokyo Big Sight, Center Promenade, Odaiba Special Event Venue, and MEGA WEB. (Registration kiosks will also be set up in the same locations.)

Eligibility

Participants must have a valid ticket to the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017.

*Visitors who entered Tokyo Big Sight prior to coming to the Test-Drive/Ride venue must present a valid re-entry wristband before participating. Ticket stubs will not be accepted.

Tickets to the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017 will be made available for purchase at the information desk within the Center Promenade, and at the registration counter in MEGA WEB on the following dates.

Test-Drive/Test-Ride Information Desk (Center Promenade): Oct. 28 (Sat.) – Nov. 1 (Wed.) 10:00 – 17:00
Test-Drive Registration Counter (MEGA WEB): Nov. 1 (Wed.) – Nov. 5 (Sun.) 11:00 – 20:00 (closes at 18:00 on Nov. 5)

Parental consent is required for any participants of the Test-Drive/Test-Ride Program under the age of 20 (under 16 for Toyota’s Personal Mobility Test-Drive at the Center Promenade). If an adult cannot accompany the participant, a Parental Consent Form (below) must be filled out beforehand and submitted at the event.

Participation Requirements

Drivers must have a valid Japanese driver's license valid for the applicable vehicle, with over 1 year of driving experience in Japan to participate in the Test-Drive program. International driving permits and foreign driver's licenses will not be accepted.

Participants with AT only licenses will only be able to drive vehicles with automatic transmissions.

Only driver’s licenses issued in Japan will be accepted. International driving permits and foreign driver’s licenses will not be accepted.

Riding in tandem on applicable motorcycles requires riders to be over the age of 20 and a valid (Japanese) motorcycle license earned over 3 years ago.

Test-ride programs that do not require driver’s licenses have age, height and weight requirements. Please read the program’s requirements carefully before reserving.
Test-Ride programs have age, height, and weight requirements depending on the type of vehicle used in the program. Please read each program’s requirements carefully before reserving.
For safety reasons, refrain from participating in the program if you;
- Are pregnant.
- Have had alcohol.
- Are taking medication.
- Are sleep deprived, tired, not feeling well, or are prone to motion sickness.
- Have high blood pressure, have heart problems, spinal problems or neck problems.
- Require assistive equipment or a helper to participate in the program. (Note: test-ride programs are available for those who require assistance.)
- Do not understand Japanese. (Note: test-ride programs are available for those who do not understand Japanese.)
- Are determined to be ineligible to participate by staff members.

Accessing the Venue

Free shuttle buses and universal-design taxis (from Toyota and Nissan) will connect Tokyo Big Sight and each Test-Drive/Test-Ride area.
